Crosscutting Concepts (CCCs)
These concepts help provide students with an organizational framework, a lens if you will, for connecting knowledge from the various disciplines into a coherent and scientifically based view of the world. Explicitly identifying and using the Crosscutting concepts during instruction helps students develop a deep framework for understanding and integrating essential science ideas.
